The organisers of the Rally Velenje in Slovenia have received the green light to hold the first Mitropa Rally Cup round at the end of May. From 28-29 May, the teams will take the 113-kilometre event under their wheels. Due to the pandemic, the routes have to be shortened this year.
The decision will be made on 6 special stages over a total of almost 78 KM. These are two different stages, which will be ridden three times in total. The service area on the airfield in the immediate vicinity of the town of Velenje guarantees compliance with the Corona distance rules.
The announcement including the timetable is available on the event website, and entries are now possible. However, only 90 teams will be admitted, so interested parties should be quick.
The Mitropa Rally Cup has so far registered 50 participants from Hungary, Germany, Italy and Austria. Teams competing for points can register online via the Mitropa Rally Cup website.
