|

The Rallye International du Valais in Switzerland will host the final round of this year's Mitropa Rally Cup (MRC). The traditional event around Martigny will take place for the 65th time from October 23 to 25 and is also a round of the Swiss Rally Championship. Participants can expect challenging special stages in the stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps.

A total of 88 teams have registered, including 12 teams from the Mitropa Rally Cup. The start is already on Thursday at 7:40 p.m. at the CERM exhibition center in Martigny. A prologue over 8.9 kilometers will be driven just outside the city.

On Friday, the teams will start at 7:00 a.m. and complete six special stages with a total length of 79 kilometers before parking their vehicles for the night break at 5:40 p.m. With the restart at 8:25 a.m. on Saturday, the rally cars will embark on the second stage with another six special stages covering a distance of 96 kilometers. The winners and runners-up will then be expected on the podium at 5:00 p.m. after a total distance of 555 kilometers.

As the team currently in second place in this year's championship, Slovakia's Róbert Kolčák/Julius Lapdavský, have not entered the Rallye du Valais, the the German-Austrian team Hermann Gaßner Jr./Ursula Gaßner have already been confirmed as the 2025 winners ahead of schedule. Gassner Jr. secures his third Mitropa Rally Cup victory in its 60th anniversary year, following wins in 2009 and 2019.
