Preview: The Mitropa Rally Cup heads to Hungary this coming Weekend

The Mitropa Rally Cup enters the fifth round of this year’s championship at the 59th Mecsek Rally (June 11–13, 2026) in Hungary. The rally takes place around the city of Pécs and covers 485 kilometers on asphalt. The teams will battle it out for victory across 11 special stages totaling 123 timed kilometers.
The 10 Mitropa Rally Cup teams from three nations will start on Friday, June 13, at 2:50 p.m. in Pécs. The teams from Hungary, Germany, and Italy are expected to arrive at the finish ramp on Saturday at approximately 5:30 p.m.
In addition to counting toward the Mitropa Rally Cup standings, the event also counts toward the Hungarian National Rally Championship and the FIA Central European Zone Championship, among others.
The Mitropa Rally Cup is of the oldest rally series in Europe. It was founded in 1965. The series is a championship recognized by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile). Participants can register in the categories FIA homologated vehicles and historic vehicles according to FIA Appendix K.
